A/V Performance 2025–26

N / V is an audiovisual duo with the visual artist Victor Calvi. The two media are not layered — sound and generative image are built as one environment and played together, in real time, on custom tools.

The subject of the set is the tension between control and its loss. Both systems are driven hard enough that structure destabilises, and the material worth keeping is whatever emerges at that edge. I play the sound: hardware synthesis, processing, and generative models handled as instruments rather than as generators. Victor drives the visual system, which moves at the same tempo.

The set

Nothing is pre-rendered. The visual system responds to what the sound is doing and the sound responds to what the room is doing, so the same material never resolves the same way twice. What holds it together is tempo and attention rather than an arrangement.
